Administrative Position
EnviroScience, Inc. (ES) is seeking an Office Administrator to support its Ecological and Marine Services groups. This is a full-time position. The job will involve working with ES Managers and other Administrators to provide critical support for various office and billing tasks. Ideal applicants will be positive, organized self-starters that have solid administrative backgrounds. Position will remain open until filled, with a target date of February 17th, 2012, position start date is immediate. Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Answering and directing incoming calls;
- Assist with scheduling and support of field personnel
- Supporting proposal, billing, and accounting duties; and
- Provide administrative support to account managers.
Job requirements:
Minimum three years of experience in office administration, and:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and accounting/database systems desired
- Strong electronic and paper organization skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
Outgoing, energetic and forward thinking personality required; someone who is quick to learn, and eager to take on responsibility

Environmental Laboratory Technician
EnviroScience’s Bioassay Laboratory specializes in toxicity testing for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program that is used to monitor potentially toxic effluent and receiving water for industrial and municipal dischargers. The Bioassay Laboratory also investigates recurring toxicity problems in an effort to identify and reduce toxicants, performs testing that maybe reviewed in permit modification efforts, and tests new products used in the water treatment industry.
Job Description
Full time laboratory technicians operate all aspects of the toxicity test methodology including: sample receipt and handling; sample tracking; culturing test organisms; generating paper-work from computer files; preparation of test solutions; initiation, conduct, and termination of toxicity tests; use of analytical balances; use of various instruments for collection of chemical and physical water quality data; routine QC checks for laboratory equipment; preparation of laboratory dilution water and QC standard solutions; preparation of food stuffs. Each task performed in the laboratory involves following written Standard Operating Procedures, proper and careful documentation, close attention to detail, and completing tasks in accordance within a daily time routine.
Qualifications
The Bioassay Laboratory operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Full time applicants should have an undergraduate degree in a science discipline, and previous laboratory experience is preferred. Other relevant work experience and/or education will be considered.
