Restoration Practice Area Lead Jeff Niehaus is an experienced field biologist specializing in aquatic ecology and stream restoration. His expertise in fish biology, ecology, and habitat requirements is applied to stream and wetland design, and he is an integral figure in the development and construction of EnviroScience’s stream and wetland restoration projects.
Jeff’s duties include stream characterization and morphology surveys, data analysis, design implementation, and construction oversight. He is also an experienced fisheries sampling specialist and fish, ichthyoplankton, and plankton taxonomist.
Jeff has worked as a consultant on many fisheries management projects throughout the country, implementing sampling designs and techniques.
