Daniel G. Dunstan, Chief Executive Officer

Dan Dunstan is Chief Executive Officer of EnviroScience, Inc. and is responsible for the overall management of ES. Elected as CEO in 2006 and on the Board of Directors since 1999, Dan has worked to increase and manage business growth through sound internal and financial planning. Thanks in a large part to Dan's efforts and 40 years of business experience; ES has the financial backing to support projects that require significant personnel and equipment expansion, as well as other monetary instruments such as bonds. Prior to joining ES, Mr. Dunstan spent 21 years with Lesco Inc., a five hundred million dollar public company. He served in various management positions culminating in chief operating and chief financial officer. During his tenure, Lesco grew from a 50 employee, $5M private company to a $250M , 1200 employee public company. Dan also has 7 years of various financial and accounting experience within the trucking industry. Dan has served as a board member for two public companies Lesco Inc. and Cook United as well as two private companies F.C.X. and EnviroScience.

Martin A. Hilovsky, President

Martin Hilovsky is an environmental scientist with 30 years of experience in environmental control and monitoring, and holds a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Aquatic Ecology from Kent State University. As president of EnviroScience, Marty oversees business operations and market development and a founding member of the company. Marty is co-manager of ES's Lake Management Division and also works as a toxicity identification/toxicity reduction evaluations (TIE/TRE) expert for the ES Laboratory Division. For the past ten years Marty has worked on the research and commercial development of the Milfoil Solution® biological control program. The process utilizes a native insect to control the invasive aquatic weed, Eurasian watermilfoil. Although his primary focus is lake management and water pollution control, Marty has received extensive training in other environmental areas such as emergency response, site remediation, CERCLA, RCRA, wetland design/construction, and NPDES permitting owing to past positions with Science Applications International (SAIC) and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (O EPA). He has been invited to speak and has presented papers at numerous scientific conferences, state and national association meetings, and various symposia dealing with water quality and lake management issues. He also provides senior review of deliverables and oversees quality assurance programs for the company.

James Krejsa - Executive Vice President

James Krejsa is Executive Vice President and one of the founders of ES as it exists today. As a biologist with 18 years of experience in bio-assessment and impact analysis, Jamie's direction has led the company to the national forefront of ecological monitoring, inspection, and assessment. Mr. Krejsa is field-oriented and can often be found in the command center of the latest U.S. emergency response operation, directing ES response efforts as well as the efforts of multiple contractors and government entities. Jamie is responsible for companywide initiatives with his main focus being ecological and restoration projects. His key skills include designing and managing natural resource survey projects, wetland delineations, Threatened and Endangered Species Issues, NRDA and NEPA Evaluations. Mr. Krejsa has performed extensive litigation support and has served as a technical expert at the Federal and State level on a number of natural resource issues.
Gregory F. Zimmerman - Vice President

Greg Zimmerman has been with EnviroScience since 1996 and specializes in the fields of aquatic survey, diving, and freshwater mussel identification. Greg was recently named Vice President where he coordinates major projects and company-wide initiatives. He also manages the Marine Services Group including commercial and scientific diving projects. Mr. Zimmerman received a masters degree from Kent State University in GIS / Biology and a B.A.from Hiram College. He is an approved USFWS freshwater mussel surveyor and has has worked extensively with over 90 species of mussels throughout the U.S., and has served as an expert witness on cases at the federal and state level. Greg has designed and managed some of the largest ESA and biological monitoring survey projects completed to date in North America. Additionally, he has worked on 14 Biological Assessments (BA), and numerous other projects and where aquatic impacts were anticipated. He has created GIS environments for a wide range of applications, including wetlands, larval fish migration, 316a and 316b, benthic habitat, depth surveys, and natural resource inventories. Mr. Zimmerman maintains a number of specialty dive certifications and is an active member of the Freshwater Mollusk Conservation Society (FMCS), the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI), and the Ohio River Valley Ecosystem Mollusk Group.

Cathy Gore - Administrative Director

Cathy Gore joined EnviroScience in 1992 as EnviroScience's administrator for billing and marketing. She is now the Administrative Director for the entire company, which has grown considerably during her tenure. She is responsible for many essential business activities such as general management, A/R, A/P, payroll, project costing, and all human resource activities. Prior to joining EnviroScience, she did medical billing and accounting for surgery centers, hospital emergency rooms, and urgent care centers in Northeast Ohio which developed into the management of private physician offices and medical facilities. Because of her many years of experience in accounting and management, Cathy is a vital part of the EnviroScience team and daily function. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the company keeps business running smoothly.

Joel Bingham - Ecological Restoration

Mr. Bingham has worked for EnviroScience for 10 years and has a diverse background in biological assessment, project development and restoration. Mr. Bingham is a part of the ecological services division where he manages and coordinates stream and wetland restoration services through RiverWorks, a partnership between restoration biologists, engineers and construction specialists. His background in biology, morphological assessment, restoration design and implementation experience makes him a unique team leader. Mr. Bingham has completed Rosgen Applied Fluvial Morphology through Level IV and is certified by OEPA as a Level 3 Qualified Data Collector for fish sampling and QHEI. He is intimately involved with each stage of restoration projects including the actual construction implementation where his experience in heavy equipment operation and oversight makes the restoration design a reality. Mr. Bingham's ability to apply Clean Water Act goals and biocriteria data to restoration projects allows him to analyze existing conditions and develop predictive habitat and biological performance criteria for restoration designs. In addition Mr. Bingham has been an active instructor in numerous educational endeavors from small field sessions to large educational programs such as Igniting Streams of Learning in Science (ISLS) where he provides lecture and field surveying techniques for morphology and stream restoration. Mr. Bingham is also working on a masters degree at the University of Akron where he is performing research on predicting the biological performance and recovery based on stream/habitat restoration.

David Czayka - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

Dave Czayka has been with ES for 6 years and currently serves as a field manager and aquatic biologist. Dave brings a wide breadth of knowledge and quick thinking to the ES field team. His experience includes freshwater fish, icthyoplankton, mussel and vegetation surveys, as well as stream assessment, wetland delineation, invasive species management and terrestrial mammal surveys. Mr. Czayka plays a key role in the efficient implementation of the firm's field-based emergency response and aquatic survey services, particularly in the field of ecosystem restoration. Mr. Czayka has a BS in Biology from Kent State University. In addition to his formal scientific training and consulting experience, Mr. Czayka is a level 2 Qualified Data Collector for QHEI and HHEI. He is a PADI certified open water diver, has completed OSHA 10 Hour training, HAZWOPER 40 Hour training and a member of the American Fisheries Society.

Andrew Farber - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

Andrew has been with ES for since 2009 and works as an environmental inspector and biologist. Andrew's experience with ES includes assisting with environmental inspections on projects in the oil and gas industry, as well as field biology projects that include fisheries research and management. As an environmental inspector, Andrew has implemented best management practices in highly sensitive areas such as streams and wetlands, including daily oversight of the restoration in these areas to ensure his client's projects are compliant with the regulations set forth by the USACE and Ohio EPA. As part of the ES emergency response field team, Andrew has performed field chemistry and water quality sampling programs throughout the country and has been a member of auditing teams which oversaw correct implementation of sampling protocols on nationally recognized emergency response projects. In addition to his primary responsibilities, Andrew assists with wetland delineations and vegetative projects including invasive plant management utilizing mechanical and chemical practices. Mr. Farber is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he holds a B.S. in Environment and Natural Resources.

Dave Fredle - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

David Fredle has been with ES since 2006. He graduated from Kent State University in 2001 with a degree in Conservation. Prior to joining EnviroScience, Mr. Fredle spent four years working as a federally certified marine fisheries observer in both the Bering Sea and North Atlantic Ocean where he monitored commercial fishing operations for compliance with federal and state fisheries conservation and marine pollution regulations. As a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector, Mr. Fredle provides environmental compliance field assessments for the energy and construction sectors. His experience includes conducting freshwater biological surveys, water quality studies, and emergency response surface water and sediment sampling quality assurance audits.

Brooke Harrison - Wetlands, Emergency Response, and Biological Assessment

Ms. Harrison has been with EnviroScience since 2008 and specializes in wetland surveys, plant surveys, avian surveys and project permitting assistance. Ms. Harrison received her Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University in 2002. She has over 9 years experience as a terrestrial and wetlands ecologist and, in addition to her areas of specialty, also has extensive experience conducting threatened and endangered species habitat surveys, terrestrial and aquatic habitat surveys, biological assessments, and wildlife surveys.

Martin K. Huehner, Ph.D - Ecological Services / Commercial Diving

Dr. Marty Huehner has been working with ES since 1996, and helped establish the company as a national leader in endangered freshwater mussel services. Prior to his move to ES, Marty was a tenured professor at Hiram College where he established and directed the Environmental Studies Major and conducted laboratory and field research with hundreds of students, and received grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Foundation. His teaching interests included freshwater and marine invertebrates, freshwater and marine ecology, and geological and ecological history. His publications on mussels include extensive field survey and distribution work, habitat preference studies, and life cycle, development, and pathology studies on parasites of these animals. His laboratory expertise includes histochemistry, scanning electron microscopy, and culture methods mollusks. He is credited with identifying several populations of state and federally-protected species and is a recognized authority on stream ecology and freshwater mollusks. He has served as an expert testifying witness in large adjudicatory proceedings. In 2007, he ended a 32 year career in college teaching and research to work full time at ES. As a senior scientist and malacologist with, he has worked on some of the largest and most successful mussel relocation projects in North America. His publications appear in accredited journals including the Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, the Ohio Journal of Science, and the Journal of Parasitology. Dr. Huehner serves as project manager, diver and taxonomist for freshwater mussel surveys, and authors biological research reports and biological assessments. Although he is a scientist, Dr. Huehner is also a professionally accomplished artist. In 2002 he earned a Master of Visual Arts degree from the Australian National University, and his work in ceramic and other media has been featured in numerous galleries.

Emmalisa Kennedy - Ecological Services - Wetlands Group

Emmalisa Kennedy has recently rejoined ES as a Wetland Ecologist. While earning her master's degree in 2006 and 2007, Ms. Kennedy served as a field technician on a variety of projects. Ms. Kennedy now works on vegetation assessments (Vegetative Index of Biotic Integrity), wetland delineations, wetland restoration projects, and stream habitat evaluations. During her previous experience as an intern for the Botany Department at the Cleveland Natural History Museum and a graduate of both Hiram College (B.A., 2003) and Kent State University (M.S. in Aquatic Ecology, 2008), Ms. Kennedy is experienced in assessing Ohio's local flora and aquatic resources. Her master's work evaluated the decomposition of herbicided and non-herbicided Phragmitesaustralis, a widespread invasive plant species. Control of invasive plant species and wetland restoration continues to be a main focus in her work and her volunteer efforts for a local park district. In addition, Ms. Kennedy has previous experience in writing NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) compliance documents such as Environmental Assessment (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs). She has generated baseline water and waste surveys in support of EA action and has presented these results at a national sustainability conference.

Michael A. Liptak, Ph.D. - Wetlands and Ecological Restoration

Dr. Liptak is a member of the ecological survey team where he specializes in wetlands ecology, wetland restoration, and mitigation wetland design. Dr. Liptak earned his Ph.D. at Ohio State University under the noted wetland ecologist Dr. William Mitsch, and completed his graduate research on the created wetlands at the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park in Columbus. He has over 11 years of experience in wetlands research and consulting, and is a Certified Ecologist (Ecological Society of America). His main responsibilities at EnviroScience include wetland mitigation planning, wetland assessments and delineations, technical report preparation, and permitting. Dr. Liptak has experience in preparing mitigation plans for many different projects, including wetland creation, restoration and enhancement, as well as preparing upland restoration and prairie planting plans. Dr. Liptak has extensive experience with terrestrial, aquatic and wetland surveys for transportation projects of all sizes. He is a pre-qualified consultant certified to complete aquatic and terrestrial ecological surveys, wetland delineations, waterways permits, and wetland mitigation design for Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects. He is a member of the Society of Wetlands Scientists and the Ecological Society of America. He regularly gives seminars on wetland issues and regulations within the state of Ohio.

Michael Massoli - Environmental Inspection

Michael Massoli graduated from Kent State University in 2005 and has been with EnviroScience, Inc since 2006. He is a Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector that has performed and managed the inspection and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan compliance for over 30 pipeline replacement projects. He has overseen projects in national and local park districts, ensuring Best Management Practices are utilized and construction techniques adhere to strict park requirements. He is knowledgeable with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources construction guidelines, implementing the recommendations found in their Rainwater and Land Development Manual. In addition to his inspection and project management responsibilities, Mr. Massoli possesses a wide range of field biology experience that includes wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species surveys and fisheries research.

Rhonda J. Mendel - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

Rhonda Mendel has been with ES since 2004 and has over 21 years of taxonomic experience with macroinvertebrates. She received a M.S. in Aquatic Entomology from the University of Maine at Orono, and a B.S. in Biology from Grove City College. Rhonda's responsibilities at ES include the identification of freshwater macroinvertebrates and calculation of community indices according to state and federal standard protocols, as well as quality assurance of macroinvertebrate sampling conducted by the company. Additionally, Rhonda teaches taxonomic workshops for the identification of chironomid midges for use in water quality evaluations, and remains active in the environmental field by presenting research papers at regional meetings. Rhonda is qualified as a NABS Level 2 Group 3 Eastern Chironomidae, NABS Level 2 Group 3 Eastern EPT, and Level 3 Ohio EPA Qualified Data Collector for Macroinvertebrates.

Tara Milletti - Environmental Inspections and Wetlands

Ms. Miletti is a biologist experienced in a wide variety of ecological surveys with over 4 years of professional experience. She manages a variety of ecological projects with specific expertise in corridor studies and environmental inspections. At ES, her main responsibilities include managing and performing wetland assessments and delineations, performing ecological surveys such as vegetative surveys, stream surveys, macroinvertebrate surveys, researching resource materials, and preparing reports and documents, including permit application, for federal and state agencies and local property owners. In addition, Ms. Miletti is responsible for invasive species management, wetland mitigation monitoring and reporting, and is a licensed herbicide applicator. She has been trained for delineation, ORAM, QHEI, HHEI, VIBI, Endangered Species, and the Section 106 Project Summary Form, and is also experienced in AutoCAD map production.

Jeff Niehaus - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

A graduate of The Ohio State University (OSU), Jeff Niehaus brings the experience of working for the ODNR Division of Wildlife as a natural resources specialist, and as an instructor at OSU's F.T. Stone Laboratory and Limnology Laboratory at the OSU Museum of Biological Diversity. Drawing on his field experience with the Division of Wildlife and The Ohio State University, Jeff has been a key fisheries biologist and taxonomist with EnviroScience since 2006, where he specializes in aquatic ecology and lower trophic food-web interactions. He has lead fishery assessments of lakes in Ohio and Michigan, and conducted numerous studies in projects ranging across the country. Jeff incorporates his expertise in fish biology, ecology and habitat requirements to aid in stream and wetland design, and provides a supportive role in construction and development of restoration projects. His duties include stream characterization and morphology surveys, data analysis, design implementation and construction oversight.

Joe Papineau - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

Joe has been with EnviroScience for 10 years and currently serves as Project Manager for a diverse array of projects, focusing primarily on water quality issues in freshwater environments, Emergency Response, and managing multidisciplinary collaborations. He is also responsible for the development and coordination of GIS efforts for the company and has extensive experience in spatial data analysis and cartographic production using ESRI products. In addition to his project management and GIS responsibilities, he serves as a biologist and environmental scientist for the firm on a variety of projects, and is certified as a Level 3 QDC for Chemical Water Quality Assessment under Ohio EPA's Credible Data Program. Joe has broad experience in water quality assessments, analytical sampling, ground water monitoring, effluent plume studies, flow characterization, and aquatic vegetation surveys. Recently, his projects have included large-scale riverine assessments for clients in the industrial and transportation sectors. Joe holds a B.S. in Biology from Mount Union College and an M.S. in Geography from the University of Akron.

Merrill Tawse - Emergency Response and Biological Assessment

Mr. Tawse has cared for, researched, and displayed bats for the past 14 years in context with his position in environmental education at the Gorman Nature Center. Additionally, Mr. Tawse holds a USFWS Indiana Bat Collectors Permit for the states of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia and a Federal Bird Banding License. He is currently a consulting employee of EnviroScience and has successfully completed projects for ES department of transportation projects, local governments as well as the development community. Mr. Tawse has also conducted bat surveys for the Federal government including NASA, National Forest Department and the Department of Army. Much of his experience includes mist netting, building and roost site identification, banding, and radio-telemetry to identify foraging patterns. He has used radio-telemetry for several years to determine critical foraging areas and maternity colony sites both within and outside project areas. Mr. Tawse is also an experienced vertebrate zoologist and has completed several surveys for birds and amphibians. Mr. Tawse is an active member of the Ohio Biological Survey, Northeastern Bat Working Group, Ohio Vernal Pool Project and sits on the Mohican and Malabar Farm State Parks Advisory Committee.

Jamie Willaman - Ecological Services & Wetlands

Mrs. Willaman has been with EnviroScience since 2004 and specializes in wetland and endangered bat surveys. Jamie graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Conservation and one in Secondary Science Education in 2002. She has been working as a wetland delineator for over ten years and began managing endangered bat surveys five years ago. Included in Jamie's wetland duties at EnviroScience are project management of wetland delineation efforts large and small, stream and wetland quality evaluation, wetland 404/401 permitting, wetland mitigation, and mitigation monitoring. Additionally, Mrs. Willaman manages all EnviroScience endangered bat surveys including mist-net surveys, emergent surveys, habitat surveys, and she has recently been trained in using AnaBat and SonoBat for acoustical monitoring of populations. One of Jamie's higher profile projects has spanned over four years and included full delineation, wetland, stream and plant biological evaluations, 404/401 permitting, mitigation design, and Indiana Bat survey compliance for a 3000 acre property belonging to a large coal company. Mrs. Willaman is a member of the Society of Wetland Scientists, the Nature Conservancy, Bat Conservation International, and is SCUBA certified.

Mike Lindow - Commercial Diving, Dive Superintendant

Mr. Lindow, an ADCI-certified Surface Supplied Air Diving Supervisor, has maintained an impeccable safety record over his nine years of experience in commercial diving. His broad background in underwater construction and mechanical processes gives him the ability to design superior and innovative approaches to each underwater project he manages. He is known for outstanding organization and communications skills among fellow workers and has an excellent ability to problem solve, meet deadlines, and achieve the highest standards in project management. As Dive Superintendant at ES, Mike oversees all aspects of ES diving operations.

Mark Suchan - Commercial Diving

Mr. Suchan, an ACDI-certified commercial diver has vast experience in several different underwater projects. He is known as being a problem solver with an outstanding work ethic as well as an impeccable safety record. He has worked all across the United States and in all types of conditions which makes him an important asset to the EnviroScience team. Aside from diving, Mr. Suchan previously worked for two engineering companies, where for 15yrs. He was in charge of the Drafting department as well as an assistant on several field crews. With running his own department, he has picked up the leadership skills that it takes to run his own crews and understand that communication is key in any business.

Rebecca McMenamin - Lake Management, Marketing Manager

Rebecca McMenamin is part of the lake management team responsible for marketing the milfoil weevil, a native insect effective at controlling the exotic plant species, Eurasian watermilfoil. Rebecca spends her time communicating the eco-friendly and long-term benefits of milfoil weevils to communities, municipalities and private entities. She is committed to helping clients save their care-free lakefront living from this nuisance plant and sinking money into repeated short-term alternatives. Rebecca graduated in 2008 from Kent State University with a B.S. in International Relations with minors in Business and Political Science. Prior to her current employment, she interned for the International Marketing Division at the National Geographic Society's headquarters in D.C.

Jessica Anderson - Bioassay and Toxicity Laboratory, QA/QC Manager

Jessica Anderson is an aquatic biologist with extensive academic and field experience in laboratory procedures. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Kent State University. She is responsible for performing toxicity tests and recording data daily. She is responsible for the production of control waters, dilution of samples, and performing and monitoring the chemical analysis of test solutions. Ms. Anderson spends a large portion of time ensuring the health and reproductive rates of the Pimephales promelas, Ceriodaphnia dubia, and Daphnia magna used in the bioassay tests. She also cultures Artemia and Selenastrum capricornutum that are used as food by the organisms. As the Quality Assurance Manager, Ms. Anderson is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of services performed by laboratory personnel meet rigorous standards for quality assurance and quality control, and that bioassay tests are conducted in accordance with the appropriate State and Federal environmental regulations. She is also responsible for overseeing proficiency testing and the annual DMR QA tests that are required by State and Federal certifying agencies.

Ryan Schwegman - Marine Services Group

Ryan Schwegman has been with ES since 2009 and works with the Marine Services Group. Ryan's experience with ES includes assisting with aquatic surveys, commercial diving, and fresh water mussel surveys. Before joining the ES team, Ryan worked for ODNR Division of Parks and Recreation for five years at the Hueston Woods State Park. Ryan assisted with general park maintenance, daily operations of the nature center and raptor rehabilitation center as a Natural Resource Worker. Mr. Schwegman is graduate of Miami University, where he holds a B.A. in Zoology. He is a PADI certified open water diver, has completed OSHA 10 hour training, HAZWOPER 40 Hour training and is a certified Wilderness EMT through NOLS and Nation Registry of EMT.

Tim Willaman - Emergency Response & Ecological Survey

Mr. Willaman has been with EnviroScience for 5 years and is a dedicated member of the ecological survey team where he specializes in wetlands delineation, terrestrial and aquatic wildlife surveys, invasive species control, and emergency response. A certified U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) wetland delineator with OEPA wetland quality training, Tim provides full delineation services for wetlands, streams, and aquatic/terrestrial habitats in accordance with USACE and EPA/DEP requirements. As an ADC certified member of EnviroScience's commercial dive team Tim also provides support as a diver/tender on underwater surveys and construction projects. Mr. Willaman is a pivotal component of the company's field-based services with his extensive field experience in all realms of scientific research and proficiency with global positioning systems (GPS). As a recipient of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Kent State University, Mr. Willaman has a well-rounded education focusing on health and safety issues which provides a solid background to the position of Health and Safety Officer for EnviroScience. In addition, Mr. Willaman is an SSI certified open water diver, and has completed the OSHA 40 hour HAZWOPER and 10 hour construction training.

Eric Hoover

Eric began at EnviroScience in 2010, and currently performs duties as a field manager and biologist. Prior to his employment with ES, Mr. Hoover was a Federally certified Marine Fisheries and Mammal observer in the Northern and Middle Atlantic, where he monitored commercial fishing and maintenance operations for compliance with federal and state fisheries conservation regulations. Tim Ator - Environmental Inspector/Field Biologist

Tim Ator has been with EnviroScience since 2010 and works as an environmental inspector and assists with field biology projects. He graduated from the University of Akron in 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with focuses in Environmental Science, GIS, and Geography. As an environmental inspector, Tim has implemented best management practices in highly sensitive areas such as streams and wetlands, including daily oversight of the restoration of these areas to ensure his client's projects are compliant with the regulations set forth by the USACE and the Ohio EPA. Tim is also a part of the ES emergency response team where he has gained experience in performing field chemistry, along with water and sediment sampling. In addition to his environmental inspection responsibilities, Tim has assisted with many wetland surveys, fish surveys, and other biological surveys. OSHA certifications include Stormwater Management During Construction and HAZWOPER 40 Hour certification.

Krista Tomasello - Emergency Response and Ecological Survey

Ms. Tomasello has recently joined EnviroScience as a Biologist. She has experience in laboratory procedures, water and sediment quality studies and wetland delineations. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Biology from Hiram College in 2008. As part of the EnviroScience emergency response field team, Krista has performed field chemistry and water quality sampling programs throughout the U.S. and has been a member of auditing teams which oversaw correct implementation of sampling protocols. Her experience with EnviroScience includes field chemistry, water and sediment quality sampling, assisting with wetland delineations, wetland reporting and mapping, stream assessments, and laboratory and bioassay procedures. In addition, Ms. Tomasello has completed HAZWOPER 40 Hour training and MSHA training.

Nicole Jordan

Nicole Jordan is an experienced biologist for the ecological division. She is a Level 2 Qualified Data Collector (QDC) for macroinvertebrates and is in training for her Level 3 Collection and Evaluation QDC for macroinvertebrates. Nicole has been a team member for fish and bug stream surveys, 316b impingement and entrainment fish studies, and has performed taxonomic identification of ichthyoplankton and aquatic macroinvertebrates. Nicole has completed numerous stream assessments; Headwater Habitat Evaluations, and Qualitative Habitat Evaluations.
In addition to her biology background, Nicole also has experience as a technical writer, ensuring quality management of documents in both paper and electronic systems meet company standards. This includes writing, editing, and formatting technical documents such as: reports, proposals, SOP's, QAPPs, and data forms. These documents are created to be clear and user friendly by gathering information, identifying relevant data and determining the audience of the document. Nicole ensures that all documentation meets applicable regulatory, state and/or federal requirements. She is also responsible for reviewing and editing documents for accuracy and completeness. Nicole prepares various proposals and reports for the ecological division.

Sarah Lomske - Lake Management Field Biologist

Sarah is a field biologist in the Lake Management division of EnviroScience Inc. as of 2009 and works primarily with the Milfoil Solution® program. Her experience includes augmenting the native milfoil weevil in bodies of water infested with Eurasian watermilfoil. She is responsible for project coordination and has surveyed lakes and rivers across the United States and Canada, compiling field, lab and GIS data for annual project reports. She is also directly involved in marketing, customer relations and training field and laboratory technicians in the Lake Management division. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Sarah has assisted in projects with the Ecological Services and Bioassay divisions of EnviroScience. She is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Conservation Biology.

Lauren Smith - Emergency Response and Ecological Assessment

Lauren Smith joined EnviroScience in 2010 and is a member of the Emergency Response and Ecological Assessment Group. Ms. Smith has a broad range of responsibilities at Enviroscience, including: wetland delineation projects, stream assessments, and herpetological, macroinvertebrate, terrestrial mammal, and freshwater fish surveys. As part of the Emergency Response team, she has performed water quality, sediment sampling, and ecological monitoring in many areas of the country, as well as serving as an auditor overseeing sampling protocol for nationally recognized emergency response projects. Ms. Smith holds a B.S. in Biology from the College of Wooster (2003). Prior to working for EnviroScience, Ms. Smith gained experience in ecological surveys at the Bureau of Land Management in northeastern Montana. She also has 2 years of industrial lab experience.

Cortney Marquette – Lake Management, Division Manager

Cortney Marquette has a B.S. degree in Aquatic Ecology from the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. She has completed numerous scientific fish surveys using a variety of methods in freshwater, brackish and marine environments from the Midwest to the Gulf Coast. She has been a staff biologist for EnviroScience, Inc. since 2002 working on various aquatic surveys, freshwater mussels and fisheries. In 2005, she assumed responsibility for managing EnviroScience’s Milfoil Solution® program and other various lake studies. She is responsible for many essential business activities within the division and oversees general operations for multiple facilities.

Danielle Tucker - GIS Analysis and Biological Assessment

Danielle has been with EnviroScience for 4 years and currently handles the majority of the company's GIS workload, using ESRI's ArcGIS software suite. She is well practiced in spatial data analysis and management, data conversion between CAD and GIS environments, and cartographic production. Danielle also serves as staff biologist for aquatic surveys and wetlands work. She is experienced in thermal plume and mixing zone surveys, collection of chemical water quality and physical parameter data using both real-time and deployed autonomous instrument packages, and assisting with wetland delineations. Formerly a lab manager for our Lake Management Division, Danielle also has experience in aquatic vegetation management. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Biology from Mount Union College.

Tracy Meder - Bioassay and Toxicity Laboratory, Supervisory Analyst

Tracy Meder is an experienced laboratory technician with extensive experience in laboratory, chemistry, and bioassay procedures. She holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of Akron. She is responsible for the production of control waters, dilution of samples, and performing chemical analysis on wastewater samples. Ms. Meder has over ten years of experience analyzing wastewater samples, laboratory samples and consumer products for WET chemistry. Chemical analyses performed include biologically relevant parameters that may impact the health and wellness of the organisms during testing protocols and culturing procedures. She is proficient in the analyses of dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, alkalinity, hardness, total residual chlorine and ammonia. Ms. Meder also has extensive knowledge and experience adhering to strict standard operating procedures and providing a high level of quality assurance in every aspect of her laboratory work. She is highly involved in sample handling and preparation as well as testing and culturing procedures. Ms. Meder also is responsible for meeting the rigorous standards for quality assurance in accordance with the appropriate state and federal environmental regulations.

Katherine Hansler is a laboratory technician with academic and field experience in laboratory and bioassay procedures. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Bowling Green State University. Kelly Rodriguez

Kelly Rodriguez has academic and field experience in laboratory and culturing procedures. She holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Akron. She is responsible for recording observations daily regarding tests and chemical analysis. Ms. Rodriguez spends a large portion of time ensuring the health and reproductive rates of the Pimephales promelas, Ceriodaphnia dubia, and Daphnia magna used in the bioassay tests. She also cultures Artemia and Selenastrum capricornutum that are used as food by the organisms. She is also responsible for meeting the rigorous standards for quality assurance in accordance with the appropriate state and federal environmental regulations.

Eric Lance has been with EnviroScience since 2011 and works as an Environmental Inspector along with assisting in other field biology projects.
