The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) will soon be renewing the new Industrial Multi-Sector General Permit (MSGP) version No. OHR000006. Companies discharging under the current NPDES industrial storm water general permit (OHR000005), will have 90 days to submit a Notice of Intent (NOI) for coverage renewal after receiving notification from Ohio EPA that the permit has been re-issued. Your Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) will need to be reviewed and updated as necessary to meet the conditions of the MSGP within 180 days from the effective date.

The draft MSGP renewal for 2017 contains several changes in comparison to the current permit. Our recently retired former Ohio EPA Division of Surface Water employees here at EnviroScience can help you navigate the permitting process, updating or developing an initial SWPPP or answer any questions related to meeting the terms and conditions of the MSGP.
