RiverWorks

A Partnership for Stream & Wetland Restoration

RiverWorks is a team of restoration biologists, engineers, and construction specialists from EnviroScience, GPD Group, and RiverReach Construction that provide design-build services for stream and wetland restoration. The RiverWorks partners combine their respective technical strengths in biology, engineering, and construction to provide a truly multidisciplinary approach to restoration. The result is an unparalleled collaboration of talents dedicated to ecological restoration since 2007.

The exclusive design-build partnership of RiverWorks is a highly qualified team in Northeast Ohio. We continually deliver projects despite difficult access, working conditions, and stormy weather. Our team’s ability to overcome obstacles and develop creative, feasible solutions that are functional from a hydraulic, biological, and morphologic capacity, qualify RiverWorks as an excellent team and a valuable asset to our clients.

RiverWorks accomplishments are due to both our passion for ecosystem restoration and our exemplary qualified team that collaborates during all phases of the project. Our exclusive design-build partnership promotes the value of a multidisciplinary approach in addressing the challenges of recreating natural ecosystems and working in dynamic streams and floodplains.

The best representation of our experience is in our completed work. RiverWorks is proud of each project and stands behind our contribution to the watershed. Our projects have ranged from small ephemeral streams and vernal pools to large rivers and lake beds. We have worked in a wide range of urban and rural environments, stream gradients, utility, and structural constraints as well as weather conditions.

Few environmental firms in the country retain EnviroScience’s degree of scientific know-how, talent, and capability under one roof. The diverse backgrounds of our biologists, environmental engineers, scientists, and divers enable us to provide comprehensive in-house services and an integrated approach to solving environmental challenges—saving clients time, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality results.

Our client guarantee is to provide “Excellence in Any Environment,” meaning no matter what we do, we will deliver on our Core Values of respect, client advocacy, quality work, accountability, teamwork, and safety. EnviroScience was created with the concept that we could solve complex problems by empowering great people. This concept still holds true today as our scientists explore the latest environmental legislation and regulations and incorporate the most up-to-date technology to gather and report data.

EnviroScience expertise includes but is not limited to: aquatic survey (including macroinvertebrate surveys and biological assessments); ecological restoration; ecological services (including impact assessments, invasive species control, and water quality monitoring);  emergency response; engineering and compliance services; endangered mussel surveys; laboratory and analysis; stormwater management; threatened and endangered species; and wetlands and streams (including delineation and mitigation). Further, EnviroScience is one of the few biological firms in the country that is a general member of the Association of Diving Contractors International (ADCI) and offers full-service commercial diving services.
