INDUSTRIAL MULTI-SECTOR GENERAL PERMITS (MSGP)

Most industrial companies in the U.S. are subject to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Industrial Multi-sector General Permits (MSGP).

Because many EnviroScience staff members formerly worked for regulatory agencies such as the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), we are very familiar with regulations in the Northeast, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Appalachia, Carolinas, and Southeast. Our experts help clients determine what regulations apply to their industry category.

If you are subject to the regulations, we can help you by recommending practices that can eliminate exposure in order to file a No Exposure Certification with EPA. This could be the least expensive route and exempts your company from the permit. If a No Exposure Certification is not possible, we provide all regulatory aspects of the permit, including writing your Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), monitoring, evaluating the results, training your staff, and representing your interests with the EPA while complying with the permit.

For clients who also have a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, our staff is well-versed in this permitting process and can provide full support in this area as well.

EnviroScience Industrial MSGP Assistance Includes:

  • Determining your Corporate Regulatory Status
  • Permit Requirement Training
  • SWPPP Preparation
  • MSGP Compliance Issues
