Noah Daun

Aquatic Biologist | Fisheries Scientist

EnviroScience Aquatic Biologist & Fisheries Scientist Noah DaunNoah Daun has been working with EnviroScience since 2023 and currently serves as an Aquatic Biologist and Fisheries Scientist. Noah specializes in aquatic surveys, boating operations, and fish species identification.

Noah earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Museum Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point and a Master of Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. His education focused on aquatic diversity and ecological interactions.

While pursuing his master’s Noah led multiple aquatic surveys focused on the various imperiled fish species and fish assemblages in various river habitats, providing a solid footing for his position at EnviroScience.

Before joining the EnviroScience team, Noah was a research associate at the Environmental Institute of Houston. In that position, he was the primary fish taxonomist for aquatic surveys throughout the state of Texas. He enjoys the unique challenges each water body brings and deciphering what techniques must be used to survey them effectively.

Noah enjoys exploring nature trails and streams to observe and photograph new species of birds and fish for his life list, often by micro-fishing. When he’s not exploring the outdoors, Noah enjoys editing his nature photographs, going on walks with his girlfriend and dogs, and watching baseball.

The diverse backgrounds of our biologists, environmental engineers, scientists, and divers enable us to provide comprehensive in-house services and an integrated approach to solving environmental challenges—saving clients time, reducing costs, and ensuring high-quality results.

Our client guarantee is to provide “Excellence in Any Environment,” meaning no matter what we do, we will deliver on our Core Values of respect, client advocacy, quality work, accountability, teamwork, and safety. EnviroScience was created with the concept that we could solve complex problems by empowering great people. This concept still holds true today as our scientists explore the latest environmental legislation and regulations and incorporate the most up-to-date technology to gather and report data.

EnviroScience expertise includes but is not limited to aquatic surveys (including macroinvertebrate surveys and biological assessments); ecological restoration; ecological services (including impact assessments, invasive species control, and water quality monitoring); emergency response; engineering and compliance services; endangered mussel surveys; laboratory and analysis; stormwater management; sustainability services; threatened and endangered species; and wetlands and streams (including delineation and mitigation).
