Feb. 28, 2025 — Stow, Ohio — EnviroScience is pleased to announce the promotion of Christina Voorhees, Ph.D., CWB®, to Director of Natural Resource Services. Dr. Voorhees, who previously served as a terrestrial operations manager at EnviroScience, brings over 25 years of expertise in wildlife management, natural resource planning, and regulatory agency consultation.

In her new role, Dr. Voorhees will lead EnviroScience’s Natural Resource Services division, overseeing a team of environmental professionals dedicated to providing expert ecological consulting and regulatory guidance. She will continue to expand the firm’s impact by strengthening client relationships, optimizing project coordination, and driving innovation in natural resource management.

Since joining EnviroScience in 2022, Dr. Voorhees has been instrumental in managing complex projects involving threatened and endangered species, guiding clients through state and federal agency consultations, and driving business development efforts. Her extensive background in both the private and public sectors has allowed her to develop creative solutions that balance conservation needs with resource use and development goals.

“Christina’s leadership, experience, and ability to navigate complex environmental regulations make her the perfect fit for this role,” said Kevin Puls, president of EnviroScience. “She has demonstrated a remarkable ability to assist clients in successfully negotiating the environmental review process while maintaining a strong commitment to conservation. We are excited to see her continue to lead and expand our Natural Resource Services division.”

Dr. Voorhees holds a B.S. in Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Forest Resources from Penn State University, and a Ph.D. in Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management from Penn State University. Her graduate research focused on the human dimensions of natural resources, with an emphasis on how social psychological factors influence hunting participation and perceptions of white-tailed deer. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with species such as bats, birds, elk, and white-tailed deer, with a current focus on assisting clients with raptor and grassland bird concerns.
